Blue/purple autumn/winter wear- fashion illustrations

Hi guys,

I’ve been sketching again, although I should really be studying for all my exams coming up… but anyway here’s what I came up with.

I feel like these outfits and even the title of the outfits are really indecisive, which is funny because at the moment I’m pretty indecisive in everything I’m doing. I drew this originally for the winter season as you can probably see I used really wintery colours but then when I finished I looked at it and while the colours are definitely wintery the style of clothes look to me more autumn. So it’s basically autumn outfits with winter colours. Also I inspired the outfits from this sort of hipster/indie scene that’s going on at the moment, which I love.

This outfit was more the edgy one inspired in a more rock chick way, with lots of washed out colours.

This outfit was the more girly outfit almost. The skirt was inspired by American apparel skirt which I have, but I tried to make it my own by making some pleats longer than others, I also added frilly socks to this because everyone loves some frilly socks!

I hope you liked these drawings, I definitely feel like I’m improving and getting better ideas for outfits.

Paris trip

Hi guys,

Over the holidays I was lucky enough to venture to lovely Paris in France. It’s always been one of my favourite places to go as it’s so different to London, and so expressive. But this time I went there around Christmas time, and it was really amazing.They lit the whole centre of Paris up, and at night the effiel tower was lit up, and it was beautiful. My french was absolutely terrible , I’ve been learning french for 10 years and I can really only say bonjour, but going to France did help me learn the language a bit, little bit I’m bad at languages.

Tinytea Teatox mini review

Hi guys,

I’m about a week and a bit into my tiny tea Teatox, I purchased the 28 days Teatox but you can choose from 28 days or 14 days. I received my little tea box pretty quickly and there were no problems concerning the delivery or anything like that. You might have seen tinytea all over instagram which is where I found it and the tea claims to cleanse your digestive system. Firstly I’ll show the box.

The box itself was pretty cute and it came with a little menu of different tea’s you could purchase from yourtea and the benefits each tea had. Now when you open the box the smell is quite strong! Be warned! Now the tea uses ingredients from traditional Chinese medicine principles, so for the taste.. I’m not a fan of it, actually I really don’t like the taste, it tastes to me like a strong herbal tea mixed with wood? But that’s just my opinion and if you watch/read some reviews others really like the taste.

One of the challenges I had with the tea, is that you are supposed to use it 3 times a day 30 minutes before or after eating, I found that difficult to do as I’m out a lot, but I fixed that problem by making the tea and putting it in a water bottle while I’m out.
The tea generally so far hasn’t made me lose any weight, but my skin is clearer, my energy levels are differently up and I feel less sluggish.

All in all, I do really like the tea, I don’t like the taste but I do generally like it’s doing my body some good!

Clashing pink and red trend- fashion illustrations

Hi guys,

If you’ve been following the trends lately there’s been a lot of outfits with pink and red. I was really shocked when I saw this as I was always told never to put red and pink together as it clashed, but I’m really happy this has come into trend as the two colours create a sharpness together that I really am loving at the moment. Btw there’s a good article on the block colours and matching red and pink together on daily newlooks website. Anyway I’m really happy as I brought a little fashion illustration books and I’ve been finding it super handy. It fits into my handbag and when I’m travelling on the tube or just out I can sketch away, I love it so much I might just have to do a post on it! But anyway, keeping on the trend of pink and red I designed a chic work day look using pencil, biro and watercolours

I wanted the outfit to be quite simplistic as its for work and I think the clashing red and pink tones are eye catching enough without the use of intricate detail.

I have to admit I’m not a big fan of these watercolours 😦 if anyone knows any (not to expensive watercolours please tell me) but have a nice weekend , oh and I hope you all have a blessed new year 🙂

Favourite jacket at the moment

Hi guys,

I’m away in cold Cheltenham at the moment and I just wanted to share a quick post about a jacket I recently got.

HOW COOL IS THIS! I’m literally in love with this, it’s from JacVanek and if u live in the UK like me, you have to order it from America. It’s quite big (although I’m only 5ft2) this is a small and it’s pretty big on me but it all adds to that effect. It was quite expensive ( more than on the high street) but if you saved up its affordable. It’s really comfy and it matches all my sweaters and leggings for autumn. It’s made of quite a thin material, so I tend to wear a hoodie underneath just to make it more cosy! I usually wear this with my brown timberland boots which looks great!

FRANK-body scrub review

Hi , how are you?

Well then let’s be frank! See what I did there. Anyway it’s getting pretty chilly here in London and we all  it’s cold we get hot coco and roast dinners and all the nice things about winter but then you get *que scary music*…. DRY SKIN , which is horrible for anyone but never fear frank has come to save us. Frank is a coffee body scrub which is vegan and the ingredients look pretty natural to me.

It come in a cute package with lots of compliments. On the back it says the instructions, ingredients and how to store it etc. Downfalls are it’s a really strong coffee smell, I smelt of coffee and so did my bathroom, which I dont mind but some people might, and because you have to wait 5-10 minutes for frank to work its magic, honestly I cold a little cold! Perks out way the downfalls by far as frank did exactly as he promised. My skin felt super silky and smooth and as my skin is quite sensitive, I didnt react to it, which made me really happy! It apparently also works wonders on stretch marks and acne! I have quite spotty skin and I didn’t notice any particular miracle with the spots on my face but it didn’t get worse. Also this product is quite oily , if you have dry skin it’s amazing but if your skin is on the oily side, I recommend using a light body wash after frank just to get rid of any excess oil. Overall I loved this product and will be buying it again when I run out, oh and it had different smells, how exciting!!!

First post nerves and myself

Hi,

Wow, I’m really nervous to write this post and to start this blog but also really excited! I thought I should start off by introducing myself. I’m Renèe and I’m from London. I always
loved everything creative from drama to music to art to dance, I’ve just always had a stronger connection with creativity. I used to be terrible at art and drawing in general, but then I saw my little sister drawing a lot and everyone would praise how good she was.So in the summer of 2011 I decided to practice drawing and painting. I practiced and practiced until I was pretty good and I realised along the way that I loved art and drawing and painting. Things just sort of escalated from there, and from joining different social networks especially YouTube, I realised I loved fashion and makeup, so I started to draw fashion designs. I then decided that I wanted to make things more public by maybe uploading ideas I had for outfits and makeup and
sharing my fashion drawings, and that’s where I am today! I’m quite new at all of this but I’ll try my hardest and hopefully all will go well! ( I included a picture of me too I’m not sure why) Rxoxo
